Canon EOS R + Canon RF 28-70mm f2

The Canon EOS R is Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera, launched in 2018. It marked the beginning of the RF-mount system, introducing a new lens lineup and signaling Canon’s move away from DSLRs toward mirrorless. While it’s been succeeded by more advanced models like the EOS R6, R5, and R8, the original EOS R remains a full-frame option, especially at current used or discounted prices.

The Canon RF 28-70mm f/2L USM is a standard zoom lens for Canon’s RF-mount mirrorless cameras. It was the first full-frame zoom lens with a constant f/2.0 aperture, delivering prime-like image quality with zoom versatility. This lens is a favorite among wedding, portrait, and event photographers who want the best possible image quality in a zoom.
